Itinerary

- Day 1 - Istanbul to Gallipoli then to Canakkale - (L/D)
07:00 am Departure from Istanbul, on a scenic drive to Gallipoli Peninsula, We will be driving along the North shore of the Marmara Sea, when we get close to Battle fields Area, we will stop at a sea side town and enjoy a nice lunch right on the Dardanelle,
After Lunch we will start our tour of Gallipoli with your Professional WW1 Historian tour guide,
During the tour we will visit - Kabatepe Museum, Anzac Cove, Beach Cemetery, Ariburnu, then we will drive up and visit Lone Pine (Australian Memorial) then we will visit the Original Australian Trenches, A Turkish Memorial, ( Walker Ridge and The Neck, will get a spectacular view of Anzac Cove from these hill tops, the the last stop will be Chuck Bair which is the Kiwi Memorial,
After the tour we will drive to Kilitbahir Town and get on the ferry across the Dardanelle,
As you cross the Dardanelle you tour guide will lecture about the first Naval Attack by British and French Battle Ships which took place before the Anzac Landing.

After arrival in Canakkale, you will check into your hotel and enjoy a nice dinner,
You will have a free evening to rest and explore Canakkale City.

- Day 2 - Visiting Troy then back to Istanbul - (B/L)
We continue our scenic drive along the Aegean, stopping for photo opportunities and perhaps to indulge the taste buds at one of the many farmer road side stands that sell olives, figs, seasonal fruit and pistachios. We then will head east towards our first site of the day.

Sites you’ll see today
*Troy --is the ancient site written about by Homer in the Iliad. It dates back as far as 3000 BC and has been the site of nine different cities through the thousands of years it has existed. As you enter the site a large wooden Trojan horse dominates your view. You will definitely want to climb up and get your picture taken!. After lunch we will put you on a bus back to Istanbul, - We can also provide bus transfer to all of the available destinations, (Breakfast & lunch provided)
